RAZ is developing tools and technology that facilitate stakeholder-led verification of positive outcomes — balancing compliance, human rights, and data sovereignty. Our first pilot project within a conflict zone is ongoing in Gaza. We are growing to ensure our systems, policies, and practices can operate where accountability matters most: in active conflict zones, post-conflict recovery areas, and communities where traditional impact monitoring systems are inefficient and non-inclusive of genuine beneficiary input.

We are particularly focused on ensuring that women, displaced persons, and vulnerable community members can participate in outcome verification without sacrificing their privacy or safety. All participant data is handled in accordance with GDPR principles.

Impact reporting involves claims of positive outcomes being realized in accordance with standardized metrics. Data being reported most often doesn’t involve a process that gives equal weight to the inputs of everyone involved in impact-related programs and inverventions. RAZ exists to close that gap — by bringing funders, implementors, beneficiaries, independent verifiers, and community-level partners together as equal participants in a shared verification process. The key is how we enable that participation: through technological solutions that balance regulatory compliance with data rights. We know who everyone is for compliance purposes — but the data collection and reporting process has safeguards that prevent bias on any side. We verify a participant’s role in a project, not necessarily their identity, so that feedback is honest, unlinked from personal exposure, and screened for bias in both directions — whether someone is inclined to overstate success or to undermine it.
